Uses for Coca-Cola That You Either won’t Believe or You won’t Want to Believe

It’s just as well that we have plenty of uses for Coca-Cola other than for loving how fizzy and clean-tasting it is. We all put a bunch of Coca-Cola cans in our grocery carts every week even if we have no idea how to finish drinking all of it .

What, you don’t know what other uses for Coca-Cola there are other than drinking it? Haven’t you read about how some kind of essential chemical in cola can dissolve bones in days?

Well, unless you’re hiding a dead body, this particular use is not really going to be much use to you. But there really are some pretty great uses for Coca-Cola that can help you get many things done everyday. And since Coke is a lot cheaper than most other household utility substances, you’ll find yourself using these tips a lot more than you think you will.

Okay, let’s start with a good one. If your three-year-old kid ever comes home from school unhappy that the mean boy who sits next to her stuck bubblegum in her hair, you don’t have to worry about how you’re going to have to go over her hair one strand at a time cleaning and the gunk off with a scrubber. If you can possibly bring yourself to try it out, Coca Cola makes for a great gum remover for your hair. You just need to pour on some cola and let it soak in before you wash.

There are lots of the great cleaning uses for Coca-Cola. For instance, did you realize how it can be a great stain remover for you clothes, with the stains or grease? You don’t have to spring for expensive cleaners that they helpfully offer you at your local store. You don’t even have it take your stained clothes in to the dry cleaners. Instead, try soaking the stained garments in cola.

Have you ever wrestled with an old machine whose rusty old bolts just wouldn’t budge no matter how hard you strained at them? Try the trick that every mechanic knows – pour a bit of Coke on the troublesome joint and let it sit there for a couple of days. The Coke will eat through the rust. Car mechanics also like to use Coke on jammed and rusty battery terminals.

But don’t believe every kind of cleaning miracle that Coke fans like to give credit to the fizzy drink for. Coke works very poorly at cleaning grimy grouting, or at removing bloodstains (more dead body duty!). And while it may work great removing greasy stains from clothes, it doesn’t work very well cleaning greasy pots and pans. And it doesn’t make for a great fertilizer in the garden.
